WPA2 Security Vunerability
WPA2 security protocol vulnerability: Is your personal data at risk?
WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access II) was considered to be a secure Wi-Fi encryption suite for around 13 years. Not anymore.
The industry standard security protocol is used by virtually every Wi-Fi router. The recently discovered vulnerability indicates that cryptographic protocols can be compromised to read, leak and, in some cases, change your personal data through your connected devices. This means that the attackers can steal your passwords, gain access to your email or bank accounts.
If you are using Wi-Fi (and most likely you are), you need to make sure your sensitive data stays intact. While security updates are not available for all devices you are using just yet, especially low-cost consumer devices, we strongly recommend taking precautionary measures to keep your connected devices safe.
